Significant evidence of Barn Owl activity has been found on the Necton Sub-station site. NAT, Necton School and Vattenfall's local ecology team are keen to map this wonderful bird's activity around the locality of the sub-station and need your help in this mapping.

Have you seen barn owls in or around your property? Do you know of any nesting sites? Would you like to get involved in this project? Contact Gabbie to share your local knowledge of barn owls and help us plan suitable locations for nest boxes for the next breeding season.

The Barn Owl Trust provides a wealth of information about this wonderful bird.

We hear them at night around Hangman's Plantation (as well as Tawny Owls, Little Owls, and once a Long-eared owl distinguished by it's very distinctive tooting sounds (567) Long-eared Owl - Sounds - YouTube) but we haven't seen any nests.
